According to the New York Times blog, Michael's burial has been "rescheduled for Sept. 3 [and will] take place at 7 p.m. Pacific time, at the Holly Terrace in the Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif."
The date change was made because some members of the Jackson family "objected" to Michael being buried on what would've been his 51st birthday.
Personally, I feel it would've been a somewhat beautiful and would have brought his birth and death to a full circle close. But it's understandable that they would want to keep the two separate.
